INTERSECTION

Anyone who has used, or even seen, the iconic map of the London Underground will immediately understand the connection they feel when they see Intersection. Whilst the tube map can confuse and infuriate in equal measure, Intersection’s simplicity derives from the geometry you get when three lines cross at a point across a void.

 

Intersection’s use of strong, bold colours makes exciting use of the negative space to connect the colours, as they traverse vertically across the canvas over the blackness. The connections may be abstract, but the journey and the intersections are not. You can trace your favourite colours as they plot their way up and down the canvas by following the twisted embroidered threads, but the directions you take will be interchangeable. The energy you feel will determined, to some degree, by the choices you make and the colours you follow as they intersect across the piece.
